In August 2010, our family moved from Avondale Estates, Georgia to Emily Minnesota, having lost virtually everything we worked for for the last thirty years. Now that we are here, we see what we have gained, and are continuing to gain by total life change. The story of how we got here is an interesting, and painful, one that deserves to be told. It involves:
The creation and destruction of a small residential architecture/building business
The founding of a charter school
The lessons learned from the mistake of working for a celebrity
The peace that can be found by letting go, and
The joy that can only be found in your family
I will endeavor to tell the truth as exactly as I can, not having access to the brains and motives of the other players, and at least I promise you will not be bored. Even if only one person ever reads this, It will be a catharsis for me, who have kept my silence for too long.
